Ande, it might be that I read your all your training posts quickly, but it seems like you jam your turns a lot. Are you going to work on your turns this season?

Or does it just seem like you are jamming a lot because you do 50 turns in a practice and always point out the 1 that you happen to jam?

Michael,

Turn jams don't happen that often for me I just point them out when they occur on my fast swims for time. I just noted it because I would have gone faster if I'd hit the turn correctly. Yesterday I surfaced too late past the flags and didn't have enough room to take one back stroke pull and one free pull.

Had a bad turn in my first 50 at the meet in AZ which I attribute to
1) not warming up in the competition pool,
2) it was night / dark pool / poorly lit walls,
3) old cloudy goggles and
4) swimming towards a wall in a pool I never swam in at full speed. Try it out with each new pool you swim in.
5) I'm very near sighted, my diopter is over 9.25

Don't really need to work on turns. Just need to keep swimming fast.
